Welcome to North Leeds Gymnastics Academy
For almost 20 years, North Leeds Gymnastics Academy has been part of the local community, helping children discover the joy of gymnastics. We’re a not-for-profit community club based at Boston Spa Academy, run by a dedicated team of coaches and volunteers who care deeply about every gymnast who walks through our doors.
Our MissionWe believe gymnastics should be fun, safe, and accessible for everyone. Our goal is simple: Encourage children to develop, thrive and reach their full potential in a positive, friendly setting run by coaches who inspire and enthuse. Every class is built around three things: fun, fitness, and development. Whether your child is trying gymnastics for the first time or working towards competitions, we support them at every stage of their journey. |
What We OfferA clear club pathway: from playful early years classes right through to competitive squads. A wide range of sessions for different ages and abilities. A structured environment where children learn at their own pace. The chance to celebrate milestones through our Development Awards scheme and displays. |
Our Coaches & VolunteersAll of our coaches are registered with British Gymnastics and hold recognised qualifications. More importantly, they’re approachable, supportive, and passionate about seeing children grow in skill and confidence. We also support and teach volunteers, giving them the chance to develop as coaches or other areas whilst contributing to the club community. |

Why Parents Trust usFor nearly 20 years, we've been part of the local gymnastics community helping children grow in confidence, strength, and skill. Our classes are inclusive by design, making sure every child gets the support they need to succeed, no matter their ability or background. We keep families in the loop with clear updates on club news, upcoming opportunities, and their child’s progress. And when it comes to performance, we’ve got a strong track record of preparing gymnasts for regional competitions, while still making it fun, friendly, and pressure-free. |
North Leeds Gymnastics Academy has helped my daughter grow in confidence and skill more than we could have imagined. She’s gone from being a little unsure at her first session to absolutely loving gymnastics, now she’s a real superstar who can’t wait to get to class every week.

North Leeds Gymnastics Academy has been proudly serving the local community for nearly 20 years. We’ve grown from a small group of enthusiastic gymnasts into a well-established, not-for-profit club offering classes for children of all ages and abilities. Our mission has always stayed the same; to help every child develop, thrive, and reach their potential in a positive, supportive environment.
Are your coaches qualified and registered with British Gymnastics?
Yes. Every member of our coaching team is registered with British Gymnastics and holds up-to-date qualifications, safeguarding certificates, and enhanced DBS checks. Many of our coaches also continue their professional development through regular training courses and workshops, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safety and coaching quality.
What age can children start gymnastics at NLGA?
Children can start gymnastics with us from around 4 years old in our Gym Stars Early Years classes. These sessions are designed as a fun and safe introduction to gymnastics, helping young children develop coordination, balance, and confidence. As they grow, they can progress through our Gym Superstars and Squad programmes at their own pace.
Do you offer financial support for families?
Yes, we’re proud to be a community-focused, not-for-profit club, and we aim to make gymnastics accessible for as many families as possible. We keep class fees affordable and may be able to offer financial assistance or flexible options in certain circumstances. If you’d like to discuss support, please contact us in confidence, we’re always happy to help.
